Lusoscreen was born with the invention of a screen that, due to its special characteristics, has elevated the quality of projected images to the level of cinema, with the great innovation of doing it outside and, with a good projector, even directly under the Sun. It was considered the Great Innovation in CeBIT-Home, Hanover in 1996 and has won the Gold Medal in the 1997 Geneva World-Wide Hall of Inventions. Today it is still considered to be the best projection screen in the world, despite countless attempts to copy it, some of them highly praised, awarded, advertised and supported in their respective countries, but none so far has managed to reach the image quality level to make them true competitors of the Lusoscreen. Lusoscreen is essentially defined as a company that manufactures, sells and rents image projection screens. Our fame, however, resides in our high-gain screen. With 26 times more brightness than a white cloth and 359 times more contrast, the High-Gain Lusoscreen was the first and, so far, only screen in the world capable of working under direct sunlight. But we didn't stop there. The success of this screen made it such that our customers kept asking for normal cloth screens, and we delivered. Since then, we've been manufacturing rolling screens, automatic and motorized, with a remote control as an option; these can still be made with 3 types of cloth: front-projection, rear-projection or mixed. Over the years, we've tried to improve and conquer new markets. With the increased brightness and quality that modern video projectors allow, we developed a different model of the Lusoscreen, specifically designed for home-cinema. What really matters in a home theater isn't image brightness, it is image quality. In this respect, the Lusoscreen Home-Cinema beats all possible competition by having a contrast level over 500 times higher than a white cloth; not to mention the wooden finishing that can be customized to your living-room. |
